WIND
Wind wielders hone their skills at sensory reception from an early age. As a result of their training, they are able to sense stiff, foreboding winds when an enemy is near. Wind users can summon gusts to knock enemy attacks off course, or to enhance their speed. They are also able to detect scents and hear things from farther away than other wielders.
They are generally not praised by those wielding more offensive elements.
WATER
Water is the center of healing and calm. Most water wielders spend the majority of their time training how to circulate water throughout the body effectively, and under significant amounts of stress. In order to bring out the most efficient healing properties of water, they must perfect their focus and be able to manipulate pathways in and out of each cell in the body.
They are not perceived as having a significant amount of power, and are thought of as support.
FIRE
Fire wielders tend to be hot-headed. As one of the more difficult elements to manifest, they hone their abilities in training with one ideology in mind: strength. Fire users must constantly work with nature to produce their element.
The color of the fire one produces depends on their ability to manipulate temperature, which is directly correlated to their unique power level.
ICE
From a young age, ice wielders learn to freeze and manipulate water molecules in the atmosphere. They don’t know why, but they are restricted to the rigidity of structure and are unable to manipulate water in its liquid form. Those with an ice affinity can create sharp, frigid weapons, or moderately defensive shields.
They are more powerful when in the clouds, where water vapor is abundant. Ice wielders are especially susceptible to fire and lava.
EARTH
Earth wielders tend to be stubborn or unyielding, like the earth they manipulate. They can cause damage with small rocks or hurl massive boulders at their foes. Earth users generally create walls to ward off attacks.
As such, they excel at defensive strategies.
LIGHTNING
Lightning users work with positive and negative charges in the environment in order to control this temperamental element. Their weakness is hitting a moving target while maintaining their hold on electrical fields around them. However, when a hit does occur, it causes substantial damage. From a seasoned user of the lightning affinity, one hit may be fatal.
Oddly enough, they are most powerful when on the ground.
WOOD
Wood wielders excel at ensnaring enemies. They can manifest vines, create modest barriers, and hurl trees for damage purposes.
They tend to be peaceful by nature. Like ice wielders, they are particularly weak against fire and lava.
LAVA
Lava users are powerhouses. They work with the most naturally destructive element in nature, albeit the least simple to find. Like those with fire affinity, lava wielders must constantly focus on producing their element in order to stay relevant in a battle.
That is, unless they are fighting on a volcano.
METAL
Metal wielders are the rarest in existence, and they excel in both offense and defense. They can use the properties of light metals in their environment to create piercing or slashing weapons. However, metal users are just as easily able to manipulate the heavier metals into forming durable shields.
Their small projectiles can be deadly if fired with accuracy and precision.
